We recognize that our children are our future and the next generation of family, church, and community.  Our children are a vital part of the total ministry at Maplewood Baptist Church. 

Sunday School

Sunday School classes are provided for each age group, three through six, in the preschool section of the church basement.  Our teachers are providing developmentally appropriate instruction from the Hands-On curriculum which allows children to become  involved in learning about and praising God, even as early as age three.

Nursery

The nursery at Maplewood is an exciting place to be.  The Lord continues to bless us with children. We realize the awesome responsibility we have in making an impact in the lives of these little babies. The nursery ministry enables the parents of these young children to become actively involved in Bible study and ministry.  It also gives us the opportunity to show love, care, and compassion to each child at a very impressionable age.

Preschool Ministry

The Preschoolers' Place staff strives to provide parents of preschool age children a safe, loving and comfortable childcare environment in which they can confidently leave their children during church services.  Even better than that, however, preschool children can and are developing the foundational truths concerning their heritage as a child of God. We currently provide programs for this age group on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

Children’s Ministry

• Children in Action: In this program, children are involved in missions education and actively serving others by visiting nursing homes, prayer walks in our community and gathering supplies for international missions.

• Children’s Church: During the Children's Church hour, children will leave the morning worship service after the offertory for a service packed with fun and learning...kid's style. Bible lessons, music, games, puppets, videos, object lessons and much more!!
